An emotional drama, ‘Meri Doli Tere Angana’ portrays the struggle of a woman who has immense self-belief and whose innate strength keeps her going in the most difficult of circumstances. Simran (Priyamvada Sawant) is a simple, orphan girl who belongs to an orthodox Punjabi family. She obeys the wishes of her uncle and aunt who have brought her up with great love and care. When she comes of age, her uncle and aunt get her married to Ruhaan (Gaurav Khanna). However, her dreams of a happily married life is shattered when, on the day of the wedding, Ruhaan tells her that he is in love with another girl, Suhana (Mansi Deshmukh). From hereon begins the uphill journey of Simran towards winning the love of her husband.
